The InObCare Project – Innovation in Obstetric Care: Perspectives on the Use of Virtual Reality, registered with the Nursing Research Innovation and Development Centre of Lisbon (CIDNUR), participated in the Smart City of Rock, an initiative integrated into the Rock in Rio Festival, on 20, 21, 27, and 28 June, offering visitors an innovative experience in the field of maternal health.
During the event, the project promoted the VR2Born activity, which enabled participants to experience an immersive virtual reality application designed to support the management of pain and stress during labour. This initiative showcased the potential of digital technologies in fostering more humanised and woman-centred care experiences.
InObCare’s participation in the Smart City of Rock provided an opportunity to bring scientific research and technological innovation closer to the public, raising awareness of the benefits of virtual reality in clinical settings and reinforcing the importance of innovation in transforming healthcare delivery.
We wish Professor Alexandra Tereso and her entire team success in their future endeavors.
