Prémio Jovem Enfermeiro-Investigador 2026

On 26 May 2026, the Prémio Jovem Enfermeiro(a)-Investigador(a) 2026 ceremony took place in the Amphitheatre of the Artur Ravara Building, at the Parque das Nações campus of the School of Nursing, Universidade de Lisboa (ESEULisboa). 

The award is the result of a partnership between ESEULisboa, CIDNUR, and the Southern Regional Section of the Portuguese Order of Nurses, with the support of Caixa Geral de Depósitos. 

The award was granted through a competition whose eligibility criteria included being a CIDNUR researcher, being no older than 45 years of age, having obtained a PhD within the last five years, and being the first or last author of scientific articles using CIDNUR as an affiliation. Applications were also required to include a three-minute pitch based on one of the candidate’s published articles.

The Award Jury, chaired by CIDNUR Coordinator Professor Andreia Silva da Costa, also included distinguished personalities in nursing science, namely Nurse Susana Ramos, Nursing Director of the Board of Directors of the Local Health Unit of São José, and Professor Ermelinda Caldeira, from the São João de Deus School of Nursing, University of Évora, and Member of the Regional Executive Board of the Southern Regional Section of the Portuguese Order of Nurses. 

The Prémio Jovem Enfermeiro(a)-Investigador(a) 2026 was awarded to Nurse Ana Catarina da Costa Maia for her pitch on the article “Ageing and Long-Term Informal Care: The Reality of Two Countries in Europe: Denmark and Portugal.”
